What is Third Thursdays in the Mish?

Third Thursdays in the Mish is a monthly special event connecting local small businesses, artists, the Parks Department, and the City of Mishawaka that welcomes residents and visitors downtown for a night of dining, shopping, art and music.

Is it free?

There is no cost to participate as a merchant or artist and most Third Thursdays events are free. As an extra bonus, local businesses feature shopping and dining specials. If there is a cost associated with a participating event (ex., pottery making, jewelry making, etc.), it will be clearly noted by the vendor.

How can I participate with the theme?

A theme is assigned to each monthly Third Thursdays event. Businesses and artists can participate by providing sale items, discounts, and featured menu or drink specials. Restaurant employees can dress to match the theme, adding to the fun. Artists and musicians can invite people to join in creating art or performing music activities. If you need help brainstorming how you or your business can embrace the theme, contact us and we can help!

Can Third Thursdays help advertise my specials?

Third Thursdays will be promoted via social media channels, posters, and handouts at participating businesses. Sandwich signs are encouraged. If you’d like us to advertise your special, we require details of the special and photos, if applicable, at least two weeks prior to the event. Please email your specials with photos and accompanying text to hello@thirdthursdaysmish.com.
